Willie Mullins' charged was re-routed to the Ryanair Chase after connections decided against running him in the Timico Gold Cup and he went on to land the Grade One by six lengths.
Mullins has elected to send him to Aintree for the two-and-a-half-mile Grade One where he will face just five rivals.
Dan Skelton's Al Ferof finished fourth in the Ryanair and will be looking to do better this time around, while Paul Nicholls will run Vibrato Valtat, who fell at Cheltenham.
Tom George's God's Own and the Mick Channon-trained Somersby were fourth and fifth respectively in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and Friday's race will represent a step up in distance for the pair.
The field is completed by last year's Manifesto Novices' Chase winner Clarcam from Gordon Elliott's yard.
