Just five rivals for Annie

by Setanta Staff , 05 April 2016

Annie Power will renew rivalry with three of the horses she beat at Cheltenham when she lines up in Thursday's Doom Bar Aintree Hurdle.

Willie Mullins' charge became the first mare in 22 to win the Champion Hurdle when she stormed to victory at the Cheltenham Festival last month and she will bid to add another Grade One to her list of achievements when she travels to Merseyside on the opening day of the Crabbie's Grand National meeting.

Nicky Henderson's My Tent Or Yours got closest to Annie Power at Cheltenham and will look to go one better, while her stable companion Nichols Canyon (third) and The New One (fourth) from Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard also reoppose.

The Robert Walford-trained Camping Ground and Court Minstrel from Evan Williams' yard complete the small field.
