Wolves have confirmed Emmanuel Frimpong will miss the rest of the season after damaging anterior cruciate ligaments.
The on loan midfielder will now return to his parent club Arsenal before seeing a specialist at the end of the week who will decide on the best way forward for the 20-year-old's rehabilitation.
It is the second time in his career he has suffered and anterior ligament injury and it's a major blow for the midfielder who had started the last five games for Wolves after joining them on loan.
