West Brom new boy Keith Andrews has criticised the way his former club Blackburn has been run since it was taken over.

Indian owners Venky's took charge in November 2010, making a number of controversial changes including replacing experienced manager Sam Allardyce with coach Steve Kean.

Andrews has now spoken out about the regime which deemed him surplus to requirements, first loaning him out to Ipswich before allowing him to move to The Hawthorns.

"Things went on in the summer that I wasn't entirely happy with," he said.

"I had a tough season last year with a fairly simple injury, where I ended up getting an infection from the operation. For one reason or another I didn't play a lot of football last year.

"It was taken out of my hands in the summer.

"They wanted rid of me without really consulting me, so from that point on I was keen to get away."
