Everton agree Jelavic fee

by Setanta Staff , 31 January 2012 Striker fee agreed

Everton have agreed a fee with Rangers for Nikica Jelavic and the player now just needs to agree personal terms and pass a medical.

David Moyes was given the green light to pursue the Croatian striker after selling Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow for £5million and a deal is close to going through.

Moyes had also been keen on Wolves striker Kevin Doyle but Jelavic has always been his top target and a deal should be pushed through ahead of today's 11pm deadline.

Everton will pay the Gers in the region of £8million for the 26-year-old and the move will be rubberstamped once the medical and personal terms have been sorted.
