Bolton defender Gretar Steinsson feels the team are starting to rediscover the form that made them a force last season.
Having impressed for most of 2010-11 before stuttering towards the end of the campaign, Wanderers have had a hugely disappointing time of it this term, struggling near the bottom of the Barclays Premier League.
They have improved in recent weeks, though, with Saturday's 3-1 home win over Liverpool meaning they have accrued 10 points from their last six league games.
The result also lifted them out of the relegation zone and Steinsson - scorer of the third goal against the Reds - believes the sort of momentum Bolton had last year is beginning to return.
"I am pleased for the team because we haven't performed this season," Steinsson said.
"But since Christmas we have put in extra tempo and got points (in a way that) previously we weren't doing earlier in the season. We're looking more like the Bolton side we were last year."
