Hull have signed Manchester United striker Josh King on loan until the end of the season.

Norway U21 international King, who has had loan spells at Preston and German side Borussia Monchengladbach, is expected to go straight into the Tigers' squad for next Saturday's game at Reading.

Manager Nick Barmby told the club's official website: "We're delighted to have Josh on board now. He's a very exciting player and this is a good platform for him.

"He's here to try and make a name for himself, which is good for us and good for the lad to come here and be involved in first-team football.

"He's adaptable. He can play on the left of a three, he can play the number nine role and he can play on the right. He's very quick and has a very good attitude.

"We've got so many options. We've got an exciting and very quick forward line and we have to utilise that."
