The Investec Coronation Cup is to form part of the Derby Day programme at Epsom this year.
The Group One contest traditionally takes place on the same card as the Oaks, the day before the Derby, but as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations organisers have decided to move it to the Saturday.
In honour of the Queen's 60 years on the British throne, the race will be renamed the Diamond Jubilee Coronation Cup (Sponsored by Investec) and will take place on Saturday, June 2, day two of the Derby Festival.
"We are delighted to announce the name change and movement of the Coronation Cup to Investec Derby Day, in recognition of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee year," said Rupert Trevelyan, Managing Director of Epsom Downs Racecourse.
"We are proud to acknowledge the longevity of support and enthusiasm Her Majesty has demonstrated to Epsom over the last sixty years and look forward to a spectacular day in June for the whole nation to enjoy."
Previous winners of the Coronation Cup include St Nicholas Abbey, Fame And Glory, Ask and Yeats.
