Steve Finn insists he will be taking nothing for granted in Tuesday's final ODI with Pakistan and is already looking to the future.
England are set to face the Asians in Dubai this week with the chance to gain revenge for the 3-0 whitewash in the Test series, as they head into the match leading 3-0 in the four-match series.
Finn has been one of the major forces behind England's resurgence, with 11 wickets at a cost of only 92 runs from his 30 overs to date in the three matches.
Alastair Cook has dominated the batting, with two centuries and another score of 80, while Kevin Pietersen came to the party with his first one-day ton for more than three years at the weekend.
England have looked a decent one-day outfit and have made a mockery of the way that they were hammered in the five-day contests.
But, despite their dominance, Finn is determined not to get ahead of himself and feels that they need to keep improving as they head towards the next World Cup.
"It is important that we do not get too carried away," he told the Daily Express. "We have played well in three games but it is important we do it over a longer period of time, at home and away.
"All of us have been identified as the people with a major part to play through to the World Cup. That's what we're aiming for."
